The Universal Love for Travel

The Universal Love for Travel It is this innate curiosity that makes people all over the world, regardless of their culture or language, embrace travel. Many people are ardent seekers of new experiences because they enjoy the warmth of new places, the contrast of different customs, and the excitement of leaving the known. Travel elevates the mundane to the amazing – providing periods of thrill, enchantment, and self-discovery.

In addition to seeking out new experiences, travel is an activity that promotes socialization among individuals, overriding spatial limits. Meeting people, exchanging emotions, or performing the same traditions reminds us of what we have in common. Back home, the friendliness of strangers is often no more cherished than a borrowed table in a diner — helpful and quickly forgettable.

Of course, travel makes the lives of people absolutely wonderful, but what is the obsession related to travel? Is it the encouraging adventure, the gorgeous scenery or the interesting people met? It may be all of these along with a dream adventure which is very pleasing to the heart and makes one appreciate the beauty of the Earth’s vastness.

The Joy of Discovery:

Travel, most of all, is a journey into discovery, giving pleasure in a wonderful way as one dares to go. Every trip brings new experiences – be it a modern yet historical city, a quiet and ancient terrain, or a cheery ambience with strange faces and strange sounds.

Among the numerous posts in my travel diary ‘Taste of India’, one can certainly recall that striking visit to a small village in Rajasthan, where stayed in a cheap homestay and enjoyed hospitable owners’ quite a fabulous house kitchen with mysterious appearance of dal baati. The ease with which the hosts welcomed me and the basic nature of the food served really stuck with me, showing how even meals are based on ethnicity and culture.

The desire to experience everything new, including food, leads to new knowledge and cultures, and further understanding of all the diversities that this world has to offer. It fulfills the need for risks and change by taking one away from the comfortable status quo. Travel makes the ordinary, the extraordinary, and that no matter what part of the globe one visits, there will always be a story that would be worth searching for.

Building Relationships and Connections:

The thing that give us the good memories is traveling since it most often results in a very good bonding between people irrespective of their origins. It involves running about indulged in specific bonding activities between oneself and the inhabitants or other travelers – latter category converts elementary meetings into the memories that can be carried more than a lifetime.

While on a tour of a Himalayan village, I encountered this local guide who offered me to his house for tea. We sat near a fire where he told me stories about mountains and I told him about how I conquer the cities. Although we came from two incredibly different worlds, such interaction transcended and made sense in the context of each and every one’s life.

In the same fashion, while visiting a very lively and colorful market in Istanbul, some tourists and I found ourselves enjoying each other’s company and food, especially the Turkish delights. Even after that, we spent the rest of the day together hunting down interesting sights and making bonds that outlived the excursion.

People, such as those, illustrate how the geography of the world and people, for that matter, is so minute and interconnected displaying that there are things like goodwill and friendship that transcend all other boundaries.

Personal Growth Through Travel:

Indeed, it has been well said that travel makes you a better person, at least the men and women who have traveled the most will tell you. It requires a person to leave behind familiar places and meet new people, places and likes, allowing even the less acquainted with journeys to undergo growth and transformation. It takes a person to unfamiliar places where he or she has no choice but to adapt, comprehend and even welcome the anomalies.

One such moment occurred during my vacation in Japan when I made the radical decision to go there all by myself. At first, doing such kind of travel appeared to be almost impracticable especially when you have to deal with the terribly complicated train system in Tokyo while knowing only a few Japanese words. But with a little determination and the help of a couple of angels, I managed to navigate the train system in no time. This is when I learnt the skill of flexibility and how it is important to appreciate the small wins, for every little one wins gives a person more courage .

Travel is education according to Swami Vivekananda Gyan Prakash Respect is a feature of travel. One should travel very well and let people love the different aspects of the culture. Looking at things from different perspectives also has its advantages. It does not transport us in the very womb of ‘normality’ of one connotation — ‘normality’ in every region and culture has its own connotation.

As we learn, so also do we gain power together with compassion. Every travel experience enhances respect and that is change, or even worth events, experiences that cannot be measured in time or money.

The Healing Power of Travel:

Travel is undoubtedly the best drug to take after a long and boring streak of work. Going away from one’s comfort zone shakes the brain and allows it to welcome different ideas. It is possible to appreciate the surroundings also when not in the middle of a busy urban town but instead in quite peaceful farmlands.

Reconnecting with the wild or any other non-traditional spaces is healing in its own way. For instance, being at the bank of a beautiful and calm lake with crisp weather, or a stroll in the tranquil woods with every sound and smell intact. Such episodes take us away from the daily hustle and bustle and assist in bringing back one’s calmness.

Disentangling oneself and familiarising with new surroundings is exhilarating. It calls for a certain level of urgency – a tucking in of excess energy and appreciation of the little things. All forms of travel, be it miniature excursions or extensive explorations, refresh and restore resources that outlast the period of movement.

A Love Letter to the World:

While looking back on her experiences over the years, I can’t help but appreciate the rich culture, scenery, and hospitality that I have met along the journey. Every place has a history to tell, a beauty to showcase and people who are welcoming and warm. Starting from the vividly painted streets of Marrakech to the rather peaceful and simplistic life adopted by the country sides, I have been reminded of the endless possibilities that the earth has.

The aesthetic value of nature whether a dry land, a wet jungle or a highland has always made me stop and wonder how beautiful the earth is. It is rather majestic to be in the presence of something that is so transcending and yet one knows that such beautiful things are boundless on the planet and only await discovery.

What I admire the most, however, are the people, their hospitality and warmth, from the one who greets you in a strange language at the airport to the one who offers to share her meal with you. These warm gestures assure me that there is goodness in people everywhere. They instill a love for life and its appreciation, hence creating a bond with the world and the individuals it holds.

Travel is not just a means of moving from one place to another. It is a means of exploring a heart that is a treasure trove of experiences that touch on the joy of living.

Conclusion: Why the World Needs More Travel and Love:

### **Why Should There Be More Travel and Affection In The World**

Travelling helps develop love and sympathy because it exposes one to people from different walks of life. Such encounters reinforce the bonds of humanity and eliminate prejudices uniting peoples of the earth.

When we open our hearts to the embrace of the world, we cultivate compassion and appreciation, which brings about a better society.

I believe that it is quite necessary to invoke the wanderer in you and feel the warmth of the enveloping world because every trip is another reason to grow and get acquainted with something or someone.

In the words of Saint Augustine, *“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”* Let us unwrap that book and travel with love.
